Over 27% of youth in New York City are living in poverty. By focusing on youth in particularly under resourced communities, New Look ensures youth have the skills and tools to break the cycle of poverty for their families and communities. Youth involved in New Look programs in New York have become solid leaders by leading Powered By Service trainings locally as well as participating on the training team that went to Nairobi, Kenya. New Look youth have gone on to lead Powered By Service projects addressing environmental injustice, media bias, education and malaria prevention.
