2011 Youth Leader Spotlight - Brandon Hamilton

Brandon “TD” Hamilton received New Look’s 2011 Global Youth Leadership Award. He is a rising sophomore at Georgia State University and has been involved with New Look Foundation since 2005. He was one of the first New Look youth to receive a Powered By Service grant to help families who had been displaced by the disastrous Atlanta floods in the fall of 2009. Brandon has gone on to lead Powered By Service trainings in Kenya, Vancouver and throughout the United States. In 2011, Brandon was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award at the 2011 National Service Learning Conference. In addition to his accomplishments in service, he is an aspiring Hip-Hop artist, was a high school varsity quarterback, Region 6-AA champ for shot put, and placed 7th in the state finals. Brandon uses all of his talents as an athlete and music artist to influence his peers to get involved in their communities. Now pursuing degrees in Computer Science and Business Marketing, he plans on using his education, talents and skills acquired through New Look to become a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist. His embodiment of all four leadership pillars has set him on an early path to success as an international leader.
