2011 Investor Spotlight - Ford Motor Company

On July 22, 2011 Ford Motor Company was recognized as New Look Foundation’s Youth Catalyst honoree at the World Leadership Conference for its commitment and investment in youth. Ford’s leadership throughout the country is seen in programs such as Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies, Ford Driving Skills for Life, Ford Blue Oval Scholars and the Ford Freedom Awards. New Look was proud to present the Youth Catalyst Award to an organization that helps to break down barriers to youth leadership and participation in any or all of New Look’s four leadership pillars. Ford Motor Company fully demonstrates these outcomes. Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies mobilizes educators, employers, and community leaders to create a new generation of young people who will graduate from high school both college and career-ready. Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies has reached more than 100,000 students and provided professional development to more than 3,000 teachers in 27 states since its launch in 2004. The Ford Blue Oval Scholars program has given $100,000 in scholarships annually for the past three years to students to support their matriculation beyond high school. And, Ford Driving Skills for Life has directly engaged youth in over 31 cities since its inception in 2003. All of Ford Motor Company’s initiatives put youth voice and leadership at the forefront.
