A Message from our President

Dear New Look Friends and Supporters,

The work we do at the New Look Foundation ensures young people have the tools they need to be global leaders. Every year, New Look mentors hundreds of youth as they discover their power as global leaders. As New Look grows we are continually impressed by the impact our youth have in their own communities and around the world. Our founder, Usher Raymond IV understood early on that youth are the key to successful communities and established the New Look Foundation to draw attention to the importance of their ideas, hard work and success.

Over the years, our team has had the privilege to meet and work with so many talented and passionate young people.  New Look alumni are no longer learning how to be leaders . . . they are. We are proud to report that 98% of New Look alumni graduate from high school and 100% of those graduates attend college. While those results are enough to recognize our youth as leaders, they are also currently serving as Congressional aides, sitting on non-profit Boards of Directors, starring in major motion pictures, interning at major media outlets, attending prestigious universities with academic and athletic scholarships, starting their own non-profits and businesses, and so much more.

The New Look Foundation has worked with over 7,500 youth and delivered over 118,000 hours of training! We have been able launch an international campaign to engage millions of youth in service, travel to Asia and Africa to introduce the New Look model to communities around the world, forge new partnerships with organizations ranging from the UN Foundation to the Clinton Foundation to the Corporation for National and Community Service, and rapidly mobilize youth to support relief efforts for one of the world’s most devastating natural disasters in Haiti.

Moving forward, we look forward to seeing even more profound accomplishments from the youth we support.  As our friends and supporters, I hope you have a chance to meet the youth leaders we mentor. They have taught me and our entire staff team about the power youth have in the world.

I encourage you to reach out to our team to find out how you can get involved, support our work, and take a new look at youth in your community.

Yours  In Service,

Shawn H Wilson, President
